In Twin Panoramas, I composited 2 footage of the East River of New York together: one footage is from 1903, the other footage is from 2013. I used a technique called slit-scan to retrieve the panoramas of the East River from those footage. When these twin panoramas overlay each other, it is almost a magic of space-time that we’re observing.
这个作品中我用了两条影像，一条是我2013年时拍的坐缆车越过曼哈顿和东河的景象，另一条是可能是现存最早的拍摄于1903年的东河的历史影像记录。我将两者通过电脑程序进行扭曲和重组，用Slit scan的技术将这些影像还原成曼哈顿东河水域的全景，然后并置在一起。
